5 Ways British and American Suburbs Look Very Different
Black bears are Alaska raccoon.
Californian here. We say "crans"
I sometimes have Robins nest on my front porch. I like being able to look out the window and see them incubating eggs and feeding the nestlings. I even got to see one of the young birds take it's first flight. They can nest on my porch anytime.🙂
'Erbs and spices, but Hherbert. Also: my pronunciation often varies by context, but whereas I would say "aaaddress," but might say "my home uhddrehss." I think somewhere in my mind, I've made "home address" into one word, and so treat the "a" like you would in the middle of a word. The football victory is spelled "rout." Again, context matters: The deetawr re-rowted traffic up root 1.
Wait'll they hear M'dAgascur
I'm an American. Many of us love raccoons! They're trash pandas!!!! They do get into trash and such but 🤷🏽♀️ cute guys
Lawrence! If you wanna see some wild raccoons up close and personal, Irving Park Beach is infested with them. Bring some french fries, and suddenly you'll have 50+ of them wandering out of the bird sanctuary towards you.
We should all remember that without French aid, the Americans would not have won the war. I learned this in college and it came as a big surprise to me. They did not teach us that in high school. Unfortunately, this aid played havoc with France' s finances and helped contribute to the French Revolution.
I have no doubt that if humans disappeared tomorrow, raccoons would quickly become the dominant species.
I'm most surprised that you live in Anderson on purpose
Why do Brits say “different to”, While Americans say “different from”?
Old video but glad I came across it.
The British have the least room to complain about Americans using the imperial system of measurements. It's the system THEY invented, and Brits and Canadians still use imperial measurements for lots of things: personal height and weight and distances between places.
Who doesn't like racoons? They're fluffy little trash pandas. And they have little hands!
Regarding the last point, I didn't find that in remote places people found it awkward to deal with me. I'm Canadian, but Brits don't make the distinction anyway.
My dad threw a baby racoon in the crib with me and most of my social abilities were provided by that racoon.
It's spelled 'Home Despot'.
Laurence--if you have never tasted sponge candy it's a must try!! Especially the dark chocolate.
In South America we cook the eggs enough that it is not eggy, and I know I am biased, but I prefer it so much better like that!
Me over here waiting nearly four years for the sequel:
American here: never heard of John Hancock, monday morning, and as all get out. Lived in america my entire life
I've only ever seen Boxing Day on calendars, and it's always listed with (Canada) in parentheses lol
My first into to raccoons was the Canadian cartoon show "The Raccoons".
As anative born American i can say with 100% confidence that i have never heard "monday morning quarterback", and the fact that you have multiple times is clearly an anomaly that the SCP foundation should be informed of
You forgot the word spastic. Nintendo had to chage Mario Party 8(Which I do have) from American to English English and they forgot the word spastic. So they ended up having to pay a ton of money.
Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap welcome to the club
Don’t for get if you like hiking you can do the Appalachian Trail. It goes from Georgia to Maine Amir 2100 miles but if that ain’t enough, there’s also an extension in Canada
I'm American, and I love raccoons!
While I grew up with pecan pie, it makes my teeth clinch now. It is way too sweet. We need to figure out a way to tone down the sugar, and up the pecan factor.
Why would you want filthy clothes in your kitchen?
99.8% of the audience has no idea that you can save big money at Menards.
Not sure if you have done this yet but you should do like a United Kingdom -Britain / American history. There is probably many stories about the history between these two different countries that are not that well known. Something to think about, IDK! 🤷♀️
West Virginia is not southern people.
We pronounce it as zay ta like the british do, at least we do down here in texas.
There's a reason they are called "Trash Panda's" At least they aren't Skunks. lol!
As an American Living in Cyprus, I don't know if I miss Ranch Dressing or garbage disposals more
There is a day for everything and every day is the celebration for multiple things. As pancakes are consumed so often and abundantly in America, I can only assume it’s because it is totally redundant.
I have never spelt it like "Sceptic", and i'm from England
Peeps, are in fact, evil
